This oil is distilled by Russian Adam the first oud distiller who ventured in to the world of modern perfumery. After several years he returned back to oud distillation looking at it as a perfumer which totally changed his perception of it. The art of distillation influenced and formed him as a perfumer. Now his perfumer skills influenced his oud distillation art.

This distillation was conducted in 3 stages and took around 1 month to complete. Single batch of extremely high quality , incense grade, final stage curving agarwood dust has been used.

Each 3 stages of distillation were designed to act as blocks of the final oud composition. Each stage different distillations techniques were applied in order to capture different nuances of the aroma.

First stage very old distillation techniques with long copper neck copper condenser were applied featuring the deepest, most resinous, agarwoody base notes. This was of course designed to act as a base note.

Basenotes are the main part of this oil. They feature the very essence of agarwood. Wild, softly piercing aroma of high quality agarwood chips. In fact not the chips by itself but rather the process of final stage curving of the highest caliber agarwood. Imagine entering the room where hundreds of workers curving agarwood chips. Metal tools slice agarwood chunks like butter revealing its deeper more resinous parts. The room is cool and quite. Its air is fiilled with this sublime oud dust aroma. You enter, inhale, close your eyes and digest the souls of the most luxurious wood on our planet… majestic wild oud wood.

Heart notes were captured using the same copper still with an extended scientific pyrex glass condenser. Precise temperature control and other special manipulations during the process featured very unusual fresh oudy notes full of the scent of green and orange fields by the forest in a Russian country side during autumn. One also can discover powdery floral nuances akin to Chinese dry osmantus blossoms aroma.

Top notes were captured during the process of separate distillation using specially designed very short pyrex glass condenser. The technique allows the most gentle and violative aroma molecules to be featured in the aroma. It is full of very refined floral notes such as white lotus, ginger lilly and green olive blossoms.

This distillation contained nothing but agarwood however due to its complex aroma molecular structure and further distillation techniques the scent of this oil acts as a perfume composition slowly revealing the layers of complex aromas that can remind one some of other precious aromatics.

Scent progression of this pure oud oil:

Top notes: While lotus, White ginger lily, Green olive blossoms

Heart notes: Powdery sweetness of osmanthus, fresh scent of the green/orange fields besides the forest. Autumn aroma with its dry leaves and twigs

Base notes: the scent of a large quite and cool room where a team curving the highest caliber of wild Indonesian agarwood.
