To say that the first inhalation of its fumes was a surprise is to say nothing.
“What did you add to the still? Why does it smell so green? (Emerald)”, we were asking the distiller.
“Nothing but the finest grade of natural heart oud wood formations that were still not fully cleaned and it helped us to save on cost ” – replied our beloved distiller.
The result is a mind bending olfactory experience. First ever Hindi oud with a very well pronounced green scent profile. However, green is a not playful nuance here like for instance in most Indonesian or Malaysian oils. Here a green note is a heavy hitter Emerald Hindi type of green.
Hard to put this aroma into words trying to explain its beauty. Better to try it at least once to broaden our olfactory vision. Highly recommended for any lower of truly unique Indian/Bengali oud oils.
